Here’s a truth I’ve learned after navigating my share of unpredictable terrain: You cannot take on the wild alone.
When things get unpredictable, the weather turns, or you hit a massive bump in the trail, the people sitting next to you make all the difference.
We often treat our inner circle like a crowded bus, letting anyone hop on just because they’re standing at the stop. But life and leadership aren’t a predetermined city bus route. It’s an off-road expedition.
The right people don’t just take up space in the back seat.
- They fuel your fire when you’re running on empty
- They check your blind spots when you’re moving too fast
- They grab a shovel when you’re stuck in the mud
One of the very first steps to navigating uncertainty is deciding who you’re sharing the journey with. We are building The Safari Way as a community because real growth happens when we take on the trail together.
So let’s start this new chapter by looking at the Peeps in your Jeep.
Your Challenge This Month:
Identify ONE person you know you need closer to you on this adventure. Maybe it’s someone you deeply admire, a colleague who challenges you to level up, or a friend who always brings out your best.
Take one small, tangible step this week to invite them further into your Jeep. Send the text. Make the phone call. Buy them a cup of coffee.
Who is that one person for you, and what’s the step you’re taking this week to connect?
Don’t be a stranger! Send me a message and let me know.
I read every response, and each month in the Trail Notes email, I share a few of your stories so we can see how fellow leaders across our community are navigating the trail.
Seeing how others tackle the same terrain reminds us that none of us are on this trail alone.
And sometimes, just seeing how someone else handled a rough patch gives you the exact perspective you need for your own.
